Is VOEvent v2.0 ready for prime time?

Vigorous discussion about basic technical aspects of a standard within the group at this stage suggests to me that it is not stable enough.

What is the advantage of proceeding with a standard that has not had adequate review within the wider working group that are not authors of the standard. Why are we pushing such an aggressive schedule for this?
