Subject: IVOA Footprint telecon invite

Hi folks,

Following up on an action from the IVOA TCG meeting, i'm setting up a telecon for a discussion
on various efforts and standards efforts to see if we can bring forward some actions for the upcoming Interop meeting which relate to development of spatial footprint access.

The discussions have taken on a few forms in the past IVOA meetings, some areas we have covered
include:

(1) Basic DAL footprints, and basis for development of Footprint Access Protocol (FAP)
(2) MOC - based on Healpix
(3) Coverage integration into Registry
(4) Apps discovery of footprints

Please indicate your available on the Doodle poll link here if you are interested in participating and your ideas for key discussion topics:

I selected the time slot that seems to work good for our TCG meetings, so if this turns out to be inconvenient please let me know asap.

The DAL working group page http://wiki.ivoa.net/twiki/bin/view/IVOA/IvoaDAL includes a preliminary working page for footprint access protocol development, yet there has not been much development.

Cheers,
-Gretchen
