potential changes to VODataService!

Ray,

the problem is not so much the code I'm working on as the code that  
others may be doing. I'll need to check with Kona and Jeff that  
changes will not disrupt the DSA and query-builder branches that they  
may be working on. For my part, I would have to republish the changed  
schema on our web-site.
