Good eye, Mark. I’ll try to fix that with the next draft, certainly this week.

Thanks,
Tom

Tom,

one editorial comment on the current draft: since v1.3, three \footnotes
have been introduced into the LaTeX source (there were none before).
The footnote content shows up correctly in the formatted PDF document,
but is invisible in the HTML. Since the content of at least two of
these footnotes is quite important (vocabulary locations) they should
be reformattted somehow, e.g. inserted in the text in parenthesis.

Hello All,
Just a reminder that feedback is welcome on the current VOTable 1.4 Working Draft.
I plan to release another working draft next week. As it stands now, that draft will include requiring “ref” for uses of TIMESYS, and all the other proposed changes will be moved to the “Proposals for VOTable 1.5” section of this page: https://wiki.ivoa.net/twiki/bin/view/IVOA/VOTable14WorkingDraftNotes
Thanks,
Tom

Dear VOTable Enthusiasts,
A new working draft of VOTable 1.4 is available for review at http://www.ivoa.net/documents/VOTable/20190218/ .
I've created a wiki page to summarize the discussions and changes for the working draft:
https://wiki.ivoa.net/twiki/bin/view/IVOA/VOTable14WorkingDraftNotes
Please see that page for a list of open discussion items and a list of the changes in this new draft.
I'm particularly interested in feedback on:
1) Any mistakes in the latest updates.
2) The reworking of section 3 which were intended to clarify versioning in namespaces and schemas as well as the distinction between the two.
3) Any of the active proposed changes. I plan to release the next draft within 2 weeks.
Thanks for your feedback,
Tom
