machine-readable catalogs of events?

To the IVOA Time-Domain Interest Group

The LIGO Open Science Center (LOSC) is under development to make LIGO's
gravitational wave data more widely available. In particular, LOSC is
interested in interoperation of its data resources with other astronomy
databases and portals.

While many astronomical datasets are indexed on sky position, the LIGO
emphasis is time, so we seek catalogs of *events* rather than *sources*,
especially those which are machine readable and machine queryable.
Examples might be catalogs of gamma-ray bursts, pulsar glitches, radio
transients, supernovae, high-energy particles, or anything else that
might be related to gravitational waves.

In a nutshell: Are there catalogs of high-energy events that LOSC might
interoperate with?

Thank you
Roy Williams
