meeting for 2011

Hi,

We have several meetings coming up in 2010, see slide 3 from my ADASS  
presentation:

Three in particular are "Eventful Universe" from March 17-20, the  
Victoria IVOA InterOp, May 17-21, and the San Diego SPIE, June 27 -  
July2 .  The first meeting will proselytize our transformational  
science use cases, the second is for down and dirty politics in the  
VOEvent working group, the third for reaching out to the movers and  
shakers in the observational community.

The tentative plan is to hold the next Hotwired meeting in 2011 and  
maybe a joint session with the IAU telegram folks at the IAU GA in 2012.

In between these two is a proposed IAU Symposium, "New Horizons in  
Time Domain Astronomy" in Oxford in late September 2011.  Bob Hanisch  
asks for our help or at least for a show of hands for this meeting:

> I wonder if you might beat the bushes a bit to gather what interest  
> there is in that community to participate in planning and/or  
> attending a meeting like this.

Many of the topics align well with VOEvent, e.g., "the power of  
serendipity" :-)

Given the astronomically long IAU lead time, the proposal is due at  
the end of the current month.  Let's help Bob out!
