The APF mission is not VOevents.  At some point in the foreseeable
future it may be possible that the PIs will see the allure of
accepting events for objects of suitable brightness range which want
spectroscopic followup.

That has always been the mission of the folks running the KAIT.
They are probably able to discuss such things now.
