Dear Peter,
The poster you saw at ADASS presented by Renaud Savalle, was in fact
the work I am doing with Jonathan Normand and Fabrice Roy at the
Observatory of Paris. Unfortunatly none of us was at ADASS.
Our objective is for the moment slightly different from the problems
encountered with cosmology/MHD codes. We developped tools 1) to give
access to simulation codes and computing ressources through the VO 2)
to extract from the results of the simulation the interesting
physical quantities. Our tool could seems like a sophisticated
getFIELD method for codes dealing with thousands different physical
quantities but few points in the spatial grid (so the cutout method
of SNAP is not really usefull there). In the coming next month we
will try and make it converge with the SNAP protocol.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.
Best regards
Franck
