RegTAP post-interop consultation

Markus,
Unrelated to these questions, there are several vendor-specific schema issues with reserved words and database procedures/functions that we discussed in Heidelberg. We had to change/escape several column names in the VAO implementation after trying the version of the non-vendor-specific create script Ray wrote. We may want to change these column names in the RegTap schema to use the existing res_tableorcolumnname convention or something like it; if not, Microsoft SQL Server implementations will need to translate queries into bracketed (escaped) column names in underlying code. The problematic columns are:
Resource.status
Resource.version
Res_role.address
Subject.subject (oddly, it works as a table name but not as a column name; we may wish to change both to be consistent here)
Res_schema.schema_name
Table_column.description
Intf_param.description
Validation.level

Subject: RegTAP post-interop consultation
Dear Registry list,
I'd like to stabilize the RegTAP working draft as soon as possible, at least to the extent that implementations can reasonably expect not to have to significantly change any more. There are at least two "major" points that need fixing (res_detail value normalisation and, well, *something* with the utypes). There's also some additional questions that may cause work if there's dissent later.
I've collected all such questions I came across on
http://wiki.ivoa.net/twiki/bin/view/IVOA/RI2Discussion
together with a brief discussion and an indication of how I'd decide them right now. They're still open, though, in the sense that it typically won't take much to sway me either way or a third (or
fourth) way.
My plan is to redact the WD according to whatever further discussion brings after June 13 -- I'd highly appreciate any kind of feedback until then, whether on the wiki page or here, on-list.
Cheers,
Markus
