   Just looking at the current documents, it seems that there was
Contact.Telephone, added from v0.81 to v0.82, and dropped in
v1.0. See list of changes in:
http://www.ivoa.net/Documents/REC/ResMetadata/RM-20040426.html

   But if you look at the current schema, there still is a
telephone element in Contact...

   So you can still produce a valid XML with telephone ;-)
