Hi all,

Re the following message from Bob, what do you see as our priorities for the
next (2-day) interop meeting?

I guess top priority will be progress towards the 1.0 standards and
experiences of implementing the Kyoto accords(!).

What about joint sessions? Perhaps one with DCF on registry/resource
curation? And/or one with DM on catalog/table and how it is fitted into
resource schema? Any other group we need to work closely with?

Cheers,
Tony.

Subject: planning for IVOA Interop at ESAC

We need to start planning our two-day Interop workshop, which will follow
the ADASS Conference in El Escorial and be hosted by ESAC. The venue will
be ESAC itself, not the conference center in El Escorial, and bus
transportation will be provided so that participants need not changes
hotels.

I have discussed the facilities at ESAC with Christophe Arviset, and we have
the following spaces available:

o A large meeting room (~120 people) for plenary sessions.
o The large meeting room divides into two rooms for parallel sessions.
o Two small conference rooms ((15-20 people) elsewhere in the ESAC
building.
o A moderate-size conference room (~40 people) at LAEFF, just adjacent to
ESAC.

This allows for up to five parallel sessions, or perhaps better three
parallel sessions plus side technical discussions. But this will depend on
what you all see as your needs for WG and IG discussions.

We can expect participation from ADASS attendees who are not so well-versed
in VO technology as those already involved in the WGs and IGs. Please bear
this in mind when preparing agendas for your group.

Please let me know how much time/how many sessions you think your WG/IG will
require.

Thanks,
Bob
