Harvesting syntax

Hi,

How are people handling regular harvestings, i.e. my registry will get
harvested every week so what is the command syntax that my registry API
should provide to do this? Is it (in pseudocode)

getNewData(Date)

where no Date will get you all data.

What is the format and time resolution of date? Is day sufficient or do we
want to go to seconds? What time zone is the date to be specified in - do
we agree to all use UT?

So is YYYYMMDDHHMMSS good enough?
