Hi Debbie, all
Sorry I didn't send this note out to you guys before hand! I'm giving a
status update at a USVOA meeting today at AAS. I wanted to get this
CSP/Media Group meeting announcement sent out beforehand so we've got more
to add to the report. This was my bad in being late sending the IVOA
portal discussion notes around.
Since we've got a short status update for the USVOA meeting, is there
anything you'd like to add to the report? So far I've got
- IVOA newsletter sent out
- IVOA webpage revamp discussions
- show example of Chandra's new website: http://cxc.harvard.edu/ as a
layout idea for the IVOA home page
- ask TCG for VO standards/protocols "intro" material, to make it easier
for non-VO developers / data providers to approach
- social media presence: facebook, twitter, weibo, wechat links
- use the hashtag (not sure which one yet) for IVOA or VO-related events
** what's a good hashtag to use for this meeting? **
The AAS hashtag is #aas231. I was thinking #ivoa, and people can use
#aas231 with it, or tag @IVOAastro with #aas231... whatever combination.
Anyone have a better suggestion?
I plan to start posting to the IVOA accounts today. Let's see how it goes!
Thanks,
Jamie
