FYI, the deadline for session proposals is tomorrow for AAS 218(!),
which will be in Boston in May 2011. Some of us have discussed this
already and talked ourselves out of doing it, due to several other
conflicts, including other similar things that we are attending,
such as the SCMA V (Statistical Challenges in Modern Astronomy)
summer school, tutorials, and conferece in June, and also this one:
"Statistical Methods for Very Large Datasets 2011"
in Baltimore on June 1-3 2011 ... (which is local for me) ...

There will be a stronger presence of Data Mining at SCMA this time,
including sessions and two days of tutorials on astronomical KDD.
I hope that some of you will attend and/or encourage your students,
postdocs, and other colleagues to attend the SCMA events (there is a
week-long summer school, then 2 days of tutorials, followed
by a ~4-day conference).
