Call for Contributions to Ops IG Session at IVOA Interop Jun 2026

Dear Operations Interest Group and IVOA Community,

We are pleased to announce that the next IVOA Interoperability Meeting 
will be held in *Strasbourg*, with remote participation available, from

The *Operations Interest Group (Ops IG)* is organizing a session during 
the meeting and we warmly invite contributions on topics related to 
operations, including but not limited to:


    - Site Reports and Operational Challenges: Share how organizations 
provide VO services, including any challenges, questions, or lessons 
learned from operating services that implement VO standards.

    - Operations in the Cloud.

    - Performance and Load Management:Experiences with the effects of 
bots (e.g., LLM bots) on archive sites, how they affect service 
performance and resource management, and potential solutions.

    - Operational aspects of authentication: Associating user identity 
with VO requests, including experiences, challenges, and operational 
implications.

    - User agents: statistical data on the usage of various client 
agents for TAP and other VO protocols, along with your experience in 
collecting and analyzing this data and the infrastructure supporting it.

    - Communication and feedback between ops services and data 
providers: your experiences or proposals to improve it.

    - Validation: Your experience with providing or using software that 
verifies the correctness of VO services.


If you would like to contribute a talk, discussion, or proposal on any 
of these topics (or others related to operations), please reach out to 
us by email. Kindly include the title and a brief abstract of your 
proposed contribution. If you are unsure whether your topic fits or are 
a first-time contributor, don’t hesitate to contact us for clarification.

*Submission Deadline*: 22 May 2026. Early submissions are encouraged to 
facilitate session planning and organization.
