This is to announce the *_2014 Conference on Big Data from Space (BiDS 
'14)_*,
which will be held at the *_European Space Agency ESA / ESRIN_ *in 
Frascati (Italy) on *_12-14 November 2014_*.

The conference aims to bring together researchers, engineers, users in 
the area of Big Data in the Space sector. The focus is on the whole data 
lifecycle, from data acquisition by space-borne and ground-based sensors 
to data management, analysis and exploitation in the domains of Earth 
Observation, Space Science, Space Engineering, Space Weather, etc.

_The conference will address various themes and will offer several 
session formats: oral presentations, posters, demos, exhibitions, 
panels, open discussions, etc. Conference details are available at:

We invite you to submit by *_July the 31^st _* two page abstracts via 
the electronic submission system, as indicated on the conference web site.

Furthermore, *_Invited Session Proposals_* are solicited. Any topic 
relevant to big data from space is welcomed. Proposals for invited 
sessions must be sent by *_June the 30^th _* to:

Later communications will provide information about acceptance, program, 
hotel accommodation, transports, etc.
