Proposal for async. activities on web services

Greetings all.

Sometime soon we'll need a standard for doing long-running,
asynchronously-invoked activitie on web services.  I've posted, on the IVOA
wiki-web, a strawman proposal for doing this with WS-ResourceFramework.
