Well, DM wouldn't be setting the precedent here -- a very similar (if
somewhat more involved, because there's content negotiation involved)
mechanism is already in use by DAL for the datalink vocabulary, and
Registry will soon follow suit for the VOResource vocabularies.

I guess with some really basic tooling, this shouldn't be a major
issue; on the contrary, I think this is a useful model for the XML
version schema maintenance as well.
