All,
Summary status on this thread..
DataProductType
+ remove 'mixed' from enumeration as this would apply to a composite
DataSet, not a DataProduct
+ change enumeration set to lower-case
RightsType:
+ There is an inconsistency between source documents
RM: Resource Metadata for the Virtual Observatory (2007)
VOR: XML encoding schema for Resource Metadata (2008)
VODS: VOResource Schema Extension for Describing Collections and
Services (2010)
The VO* are based on RM, and have the same definition for the 'Rights'
element, but a
different enumeration set.
RM: "public", "proprietary", "mixed"
VO*: "public", "proprietary", "secure"
My inclination is to use the set defined in the VO* docs since that is
what ObsCore currently uses.
This MAY have an effect on SSA, but I just checked that spec and it
only notes "public" and "proprietary".
datetime
+ Some clarification of what this type covers is in order.. my
understanding is that it is
- an instant in time. (Date+Timestamp)
- presumably may be serialized in a variety of formats ( ISO-8601,
FITS, Y-M-D, etc )
- but probably not MJD, JD ?
* The documentation for this type should specify these things.
* I agree that the descriptive text of the DALI RFC thread applies
here.
+ STC-2.0 defines specific Time types ( ISO, JD, MJD ), which
additionally allow specification of the timescale.
These provide greater control over the details.
