the Obscore Spec
http://www.ivoa.net/documents/ObsCore/20111028/REC-ObsCore-v1.0-20111028.pdf
defines : image, cube, spectrum, SED, timeseries, visibility, event.
it clearly states that a light curve is considered as a kind of
Timeseries;
see section 3.3.1. Data Product Type
