Hi,

It has been shown in this thread that content-encoding is the way to go 
and hence all that remains regarding SSA is to ask whether the 
additional COMPRESS parameter in this protocol should be dropped.

But rather than revisiting individual features one by one I'd suggest 
that the  WG chair puts up the SSA interface spec. for RFC so that the 
community can comment on the whole specification rather than on isolated 
issues.
