Hi Phil, Java is a fine language to implement an SIAP service. Have a look at the NVO 2005 Summer School documenation and software release (http://us-vo.org/summer-school/2005/proceedings/). The software contains a simple, java-based implementation of a server that should help you get started. cheers, Ray
