supporting spectroscopy

Hi,

As you know in mid May there will be an interoperability meeting in 
Cambridge (http://www.ivoa.net/twiki/bin/view/IVOA/InterOpMay2003).

In preparation to this event I'd like to gather information on how to 
extend Simple Image Access to spectroscopy including SEDs.

Arnold:
Somebody said you are preparing a new version of the "Simple Image 
Access Prototype Specification". I wonder whether this is true since 
Doug and Ray appeared as the original authors? Should we base a possible 
extension for spectra on version 1.0 
(http://www.us-vo.org/news/simspec.html) of this document?

Jonathan:
Do the data modelers already have a definition for spectra/SEDs?
Should we use your document about "Bandpasses" as a reference, for UCDs, 
etc.?

In general:
Is anybody already working on this aspect?
