OK, I have done this for topcat
(ftp://andromeda.star.bris.ac.uk/pub/star/topcat/pre/topcat-full.jar;
if you run it with -verbose it writes the queries it's making to stderr)
and it will be in place for the next public release, whenever that is.
I did some independent checking of current registry contents,
and yes it all seems to be in order now. The only anomaly I
came across was some JVO services in the Euro-VO registry with
intf_type='vd11:paramhttp', but these have intf_role='std',
so that's OK.
