Image mosaic engine released

IRSA and the NVO announces a new image mosaic service at 
http://hachi.ipac.caltech.edu:8080/montage/.

Using a simple browser interface, the service returns science-grade 
mosaics that (a) preserve fluxes and astrometry and (b) rectify 
backgrounds to a common level. Images/bands available for mosaicking 
include

     * 2MASS J, H, or Ks
     * SDSS u, g, r, i, or z
     * DSS1 B or R
     * DSS2 B, R, or I

happy mosaicking!  please note that this service will not be available 
for 2MASS image mosaics tomorrow from 7 am to 1 pm PST for hardware 
upgrades at IPAC.
