libsamp on Windows?

Hi all,

has anybody used Mike Fitzpatrick's C SAMP library libsamp
(https://github.com/mjfitzpatrick/voclient/tree/master/libsamp)
with MS Windows?  I'm talking to some project students who are
looking at adding SAMP functionality to a visualisation tool
called OpenSpace (https://www.openspaceproject.com/), which is
written in C (C++?) and targetted at Windows and Mac.
Apparently libsamp won't build for Windows - I suspect, though I'm
not sure, that the problem is pthreads.

If anybody's got experience with this, please let me know.
