From msdemlei at ari.uni-heidelberg.de Tue Oct 29 09:41:07 2024 From: msdemlei at ari.uni-heidelberg.de (Markus Demleitner) Date: Tue, 29 Oct 2024 09:41:07 +0100 Subject: VOEventRegExt Message-ID: <20241029084107.7hdj4jadskzjaegn@victor> Dear TDIG, While looking for something else, I noticed that there's still a WD for VOEventRegExt on the document repository. This was an attempt to define a Registry extension schema for VOEvent streams and services outside of the VOEvent spec. Since VOEvent 2.1 now contains the Registry extension (and I believe that is a good standard: Keep Registry aspects in the standards themselves), and it is now in PR, I think this WD should now be moved into the obsolete IVOA documents section. The risk that it will confuse people is probably low, but it is there. A quick note to the document coordinator from the TDIG chair should suffice, perhaps cc: the TCG. While I'm talking to this audience: If you have a live VOEvent stream, please contact me; we still don't have one in the Registry, and that worries me in terms of reference implementations of the RFC of VOEvent 2.1. It'd be great if we could have a VOEvent stream or two in the Registry by the time of 2.1 REC, and I'd be more than happy to help you with that. Thanks, Markus
