Not “just” that, however.
"The purpose of this Note is to endorse the use of SimpleTimeSeries as an interoperable format for representing time series by the IVOA. It is not intended to be a replacement for the standard(s) which will eventually define a Time Series Data Model and appropriate serializations and we show below how one maps into the other with relative ease.”
Is there documentation describing the serializations in terms that postdocs and astronomy grad students can use to understand what is appropriate (and more to the point, inappropriate)? Do these serializations have names so potential users can track down conforming libraries, etc?
