Hi Bob,
I hope all is well.  I'm wondering if it is within US VAO's policy to announce a search for support of a crowdfunding campaign?

PARI has launched the Astronomy Legacy Project on Kickstarter.  We are planning on purchasing a high precision scanner to digitize collections in the Astronomical Photographic Data Archive (APDA; http://www.pari.edu/apda ) at PARI.

APDA has 40 collections and 220,000 photographic plates and films, with more added every year.  Our plan is to first digitize the Warner-Swasey collection of some 20,000 plates, followed by the Henize Southern H-alpha survey of 330 plates.
