Dear VOEvent List

There are many event streams coming on line soon: IAU/CBAT, LOFAR, GAIA, 
DES, LIGO, LSST and many others. To fully realize the exciting science 
from these projects, rapid follow-up is essential, as we all know. Let's 
get the VOEvent show on the road, so that the precious afterglow photons 
are captured rather then falling on the stony ground.

In particular, I am confident of your sincere effort on the VOEvent2 
specification, that will appear in the near future on this list. It is 
lean and mean but also capable and flexible, has been years in the 
making. Please put at least as much effort into this precious document, 
as there has been with this blossom of speculation on the labours of the 
robo-authors.
