Although there seems to be some confusion attributing this to me. I
did happen to use the same graphic on the VOEvent II program, but the
nice VOEventNet folks on the left coast used it first (well, after
Tycho).

Unless the voter was actually talking about the animated GIF of my
juggling of celestial objects:

If I can find somebody else to pass clubs, we might attempt a version
with torches and Roy in the middle. I'm sure he won't mind that I'm
a bit rusty.

The front runner at the top is Sebastien's:

> I realize I haven't sent you the little something I quickly
> drafted a while ago, shamefully copying other's logos, simply
> using a funny dingbats font in GIMP

borrowing rather nicely from the Chaco Canyon Crab SN petroglyph (and
perhaps Mike Fitzpatrick's version in the middle, overlaying the
angle brackets). I don't know why, but somehow dingbats seem very
appropriate for VOEvent.

Alasdair points out the need for anti-aliasing and a version for dark
backgrounds. Sebastien had noted that color choices were a free
parameter. The font is from a free library, but I'm less concerned
about Adobe or MS tracking us down for using Lucida or Helvetica than
I would be using some copyrighted photograph off the web. Perhaps
I'll take a whack at reconstituting it in Freehand as vectors instead
of the pixelated version from GIMP.

In the mean time, keep those cards and letters coming.
