ivoa theory session

Hi all
(Seems this message did not get out last week, so here it is.)
The theory session during this week's interop will be devoted to a discussion of what possible standard effort we might work on together.
These will be organized along the following three topics that could have quite some cross-talk:

1. implementations of the Simulation data model.
2. more or less standard (python) libraries for accessing cosmological simulations residing on science platforms.
3. data models for the raw (particles, mesh, ...) and post-processing results (halos, ...) of cosmological simulations

We only have an hour, so our thoughts are that I may give a short intro for each topic. Then possibly have thoughts from one person/group who has done work in this direction, then a free discussion.

I have asked Franck or Herve, or someone from the groups in France that set up a "SimDB" to say a few words on item 1.
I hope Matt Turk can say something on item 2 and Chris Hayward will address item 3.

And it would be great if we can already have some discussion before the meeting, either on this thread or on the ivoa theory-ig slack channel.

Btw, the theory session is Thu Nov 4, 20:30 UTC, see https://wiki.ivoa.net/twiki/bin/view/IVOA/InterOpNov2021<https://nam02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwiki.ivoa.net%2Ftwiki%2Fbin%2Fview%2FIVOA%2FInterOpNov2021&data=04%7C01%7Cglemson1%40jhu.edu%7C4c699018a794494ff3a008d99888c3c5%7C9fa4f438b1e6473b803f86f8aedf0dec%7C0%7C0%7C637708535423746351%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C1000&sdata=CyeVDzeaL0ypQwndXiGXy5a1pBrPV%2B%2B4BkfjKtRubss%3D&reserved=0>.

Greetings
Gerard and Simon
