Yep, succinctly put :-)

Changing LINK/@content-role from NMTOKEN to anyURI allows us to use the
same URIs in both VOTable and VOSpace.

The impact of the schema change would be that any existing strict
VOTable parsers would reject content-role URIs that didn't fit in the
existing NMTOKEN requirement, failing on the ':', '/' and '#' characters
in the URI.

Question is - is the gain in making the @type and @content-role
attributes equivalent worth the side effects of the schema change.
