No objection here, but has anyone thought to contact the authors of  
the IAU Thesaurus for comments - or even better yet, to gauge their  
interest in joining the effort?  The point of the IVOA, after all, is  
to be of service to the astronomical community.  The IAU is a key way  
to reach same.
