From renaud.savalle at obspm.fr Mon Nov 10 16:00:29 2025 From: renaud.savalle at obspm.fr (Renaud Savalle) Date: Mon, 10 Nov 2025 16:00:29 +0100 Subject: RFC start for DocRegExt-1.0 Message-ID: Dear IVOA members, We invite the community and TCG to review the Proposed Recommendation "DocRegExt version 1.0" at: https://wiki.ivoa.net/twiki/bin/view/IVOA/DocRegExt10RFC DocRegExt is a VOResource extension for registering documents useful for teaching and learning the Virtual Observatory. It re-uses common VODataService (CatalogResource) metadata and adds the concept of an edition; for the VO this is somewhat new because we care about national languages and linking source code. The RFC period is Nov 15. 2025 ? Jan 15, 2026. As usual, comments shall be provided by editing the above-mentioned RFC wiki page; it is also possible to use GitHub Issues (the GitHub repo is available at: https://github.com/ivoa-std/DocStd ). As it will end just after the Christmas and New Year period, do not hesitate to review it as soon as possible. We appreciate your time reading and commenting this document.
