An announcement (one of many) about IBM DB2 v9 - a relational dbms with xml

DB2 is free to use by people in institutes registered on their academic
programme though I'm not sure how that applies to independent astro insts.
If anyone evaluates this new version of DB2 and how well it supports XQuery
it'd be useful if they could post a review here.
