Registry workgroup kickoff meeting: Who can come? How?

Okay, we have enough 'warm bodies' (to borrow Bob's phrase) to
participate in a kick-off meeting in London on 19-20th March but none
from the US, which is disappointing. What I propose, therefore, is the
following approach:

We start the meeting at 11:00 am in the larger room at LeSC that we've
already booked. First order of business will be to select those who will
be members of a core working group whose job will be to produce
documents for the larger community of this mailing list.

The WG will consist of me (as interim chairperson) plus whoever there is
from AstroGrid, Euro-VO, US-VO and any of the other VO projects who wish
to get involved and can spare someone for serious amounts of work.
Probably no more than about 10 people.

Following this we will have lunch and then take presentations on issues
relating to the registry standards.

At 16:00 GMT, the main meeting will conclude. The members of the WG
nominated earlier will retire to the Access Grid room at LeSC where they
will have a (roughly) two hour meeting with those from the US-VO project
who can get to an Access Grid room near them. The agenda for this
meeting will be built around the need to specify the aims and
deliverables of the WG and a roadmap for delivery. If there is time, we
can debate some of the issues raised in the mailing list.

On the 20th, we'll continue the kick-off meeting (back in the larger
room) with a presentation on the WG meeting and discussion of any issues
raised. We'll follow with further presentations and/or discussions and
will close about 13:00.

How does this sound as an approach. Sorry if I sound dictatorial here
but trying to coordinate everyone's needs has brought out the Saddam in
me :)

Cheers,
Tony.
