<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-ligatures:none;mso-fareast-language:EN-GB">Welcome to the Protocol Transitioning Tiger Team (P3T). This is an effort to improve compatibility of DAL and associated protocols with modern web development tools and practices.
This stems from discussions in previous IVOA interops, but particularly talks at Bologna by

TCG discussions. The intent is to look at Cone Search, UWS and TAP initially and see what we can evolve to make the standards easier to implement with modern web development tools.

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-ligatures:none;mso-fareast-language:EN-GB">The schedule I'd like to aim for is to have monthly meetings between January and April and then have a 2 day hackathon
<span style="color:black">(Thu/Fri, May 16/17) </span>prior to the Interop in Sydney. We can then hopefully have some progress to report in a DAL session at Sydney.

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-ligatures:none;mso-fareast-language:EN-GB">The first step to this is discussing the current state, prioritising issues/concerns, and determining what we can work on in this first short run before the interop.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
