Dear Operations Interest Group,

the next online IVOA Interop meeting will take place on Nov 2-4.
Unlike the last couple of virtual meetings there is not a coordinated
call for contributions across working and interest groups, mainly
in view of the fact that it's a short meeting so the space for
presentations will be somewhat limited. However, Ops IG is planning
to run one session, and there will be some time for contributed
material.

Suitable topics include anything related to operating VO services,
including service reliability, monitoring and validation,
how the VO fits into wider institutional operations, and
problems or issues encountered in the setting up or day-to-day
running of services that implement or interact with VO protocols.
One class of talk we've often had in the past is a "site report",
in which a data center representative talks about their operational
specifics in running VO services. These have been quite varied
in style, but have always provided interesting insights for other
service operators and feedback to the working groups developing
the standards.

If you would like to discuss making a presentation, or flagging up
a topic of interest, please contact Steve Groom or myself, preferably
in the next week or so.

Mark Taylor (Chair)
Steve Groom (Vice Chair)
