<div dir="ltr">Hi all,<div><br></div><div>I took a first go looking at Trello as a task manager. Currently, it's a private board; I wanted to test it out with you guys first. Most of you should have received an invitation to the board at</div><div><br></div><div><a href="https://trello.com/ivoamediagroup">https://trello.com/ivoamediagroup</a></div><div>(There's a link on the IVOA TWiki, too)</div><div><br></div><div>The idea with Trello is you can track your issues by moving the cards from one column to another, while providing comments and attachments to each card. The columns are</div><div><br></div><div> - Todo -- tasks we've written down but haven't started yet</div><div> - Working -- tasks that someone's currently working on</div><div> - In Review -- tasks that are finished but require group approval before being closed out.</div><div> - Finished -- tasks that have been reviewed and approved by the team.</div><div><br></div><div>Of course we can change the columns, add new columns as necessary. Feel free to play around with the tool. I've added some of the tasks we have from our last meeting notes that you can edit (and assign yourself to ;) ).</div><div><br></div><div>I've only invited those who were on the original Media Group list. If anyone else on this mailing list wants to check it out, let me know and I'll add you.</div><div><br></div><div>A very basic Pros/Cons</div><div>-------------</div><div><br></div><div>Trello was very easy to setup, and the UI seems pretty intuitive from my experience. One thing I'm not thrilled with about Trello is it doesn't automatically add card numbers to tasks; you need to install a plugin. I've provided links to Firefox and Chrome plugins on the main Trello page so you can see the card numbers.<br></div><div><br></div><div>I would like to take a look at using Github/Waffle.io (and any other task managers people suggest) before deciding on a task manager.
