From marco.molinaro at inaf.it Tue Jul 1 13:00:54 2025 From: marco.molinaro at inaf.it (Molinaro, Marco) Date: Tue, 1 Jul 2025 13:00:54 +0200 Subject: Astro-CC Tech Forum - 1st announcement Message-ID: Dear interop, (apologises if you receive this multiple times) please, find below the announcement for the 1st Technology Forum of the Astro-CC project. The event is meant primarily for the European area, but nothing prevents (attendance limits apart) participation from outside Europe. Thanks in advance, Kind Regards Marco Molinaro ==== Dear all, within the scope of the Astronomy Open Science Competence Center Pilot (Astro-CC, funded via an OSCARS Cascading Grant) we are organising a first Astro-CC Technology Forum to be held in Basovizza (Trieste, Italy) from Tuesday 7 to Thursday 9 October 2025. The Technology Forum is meant to engage the community on the topics of technical standards and interoperability frameworks to enable FAIR data services in the domains of astronomy, heliospheric physics, planetary science, and astro-particle physics. The target audience includes ESFRIs, other research infrastructures, and experts in the various interoperability frameworks, and the goal is to share technical expertise and best practices in the implementation of FAIR enabling technologies, and the use and development of open standards. The format consists in topical sessions followed by practical hack-a-thon sessions for hands-on work in a collaborative mode. Updated, further details about the forum will be published on the event's web page: https://indico.in2p3.fr/event/36318/ Due to organisational and venue constraints, in person attendance will be limited to 40 people; if you plan to join us, register asap at: https://indico.in2p3.fr/event/36318/registrations/ (we will work on a first come, first served basis). The registration will close on September the 15th. Please, consider also that the week of the Tech Forum will see Trieste hosting a major sailing event (Barcolana): we suggest to book your stay as early as possible to avoid higher prices or issues in finding an accommodation. Looking forward to your attendance!
