IVOA Interop Education Session Invitation

Dear colleagues,

We hope this email finds you well.The 2019 IVOA Northern Spring Interop 
Meeting will be held in Paris, France, from May 11th to 17th 2019. The 
bi-annual Interoperability Meetings are working meetings for making 
progress on and facing the challenges of coordinating the global effort 
for interoperability in Astronomy.

The International Virtual Observatory Alliance (IVOA) was formed in June 
2002 with a mission to facilitate the international coordination and 
collaboration necessary for the development and deployment of the tools, 
systems and organizational structures necessary to enable the 
international utilization of astronomical archives as an integrated and 
interoperating virtual observatory.

The IVOA work is pursued by Working Groups (WG) and Interest Groups 
(IG), coordinated by the Technical Coordination Group (TCG), guided by a 
scientific priorities committee (CSP), with the overall direction 
provided by the IVOA Executive Committee. Participation in the IVOA 
working and interest groups is open, as is the participation in the 
bi-annual Interoperability meetings.

At the 2019 IVOA Northern Spring Interop Meeting, a specific Education 
Session will be organized together by IVOA Education Interest Group and 
Media Group. The theme of the session is "Data driven astronomical 
education and public outreach" with focus on but not limited to "Data to 
Dome" efforts.

You are invited sincerely to contribute to the session. About 10 talk 
slots are available totally. A 10 to 15 mins talk is welcome to share 
your experiences and lessons learned. Write to me please by the end of 
April (Chenzhou Cui, ccz at bao.ac.cn).
