Upcoming IVOA website redesign

Hello all,

The Exec has decided to make the IVOA website more friendly for people
in search of information regarding Virtual Observatory technology and
tools. The general guidelines for this redesign are available on this
twiki page:
http://www.ivoa.net/cgi-bin/twiki/bin/view/IVOA/RevisedWebsiteDesign.

Comments are invited (on the same twiki page) for a short period,
after which a version 1.0 of this note will be finalised, and design
and construction of the new web pages will begin.
