GWS splinter session summary

Hi all,

A quick summary of GWS splinter session on moving code to the data.

There are a number of projects who are working on this, some already 
have working implementations, others are in the planning stage.

There are a number of common aspects between the projects, primarily 
those who have very large (peta byte) datasets. However at the moment it 
is a fairly mixed landscape of different platforms.

The consensus was that it is probably too soon to look at standardizing 
anything at this point. The concern is that standardising too much too 
early could be counter productive.

It is also worth noting that although many of the projects consider the 
concept of moving code to the data an important one, we do not have any 
specific science use cases that require interoperability between 
implementations.
