Big Data database ?

Hi all,

Does anybody have experience with optical photometry or imaging processing 
running on either SciDb or MonetDb (with SciQL) ?
(I remember some ADASS 2011 presentation and it was impressive).

What Db would you suggest for astronomical processing (support of spatial 
indices for conesearch , maturity, working implemenations in astronomy etc 
...)?

Which db will the Gaia or LSST run on ?

and how it works on parallel multiple machines - cluster,grid ?
