Meeting twiki page Re: Radio IG running meeting and ObsCore extension for radio data news

Hello

It seems to me in the discussion that we're talking about an
implementation solution before the need.

As Markus specifies, we're going to have multiple extensions to ObsCore:
radio (and pulsar), provenance, time domain, etc.

Having participated extensively in the development of EPN-TAP, it would
be useful to clearly describe the requirement in each of the axes
(temporal, spatial, frequency, gravitational, etc.).

On the best possible implementation of the protocol, two populations
need to talk to each other

The people who implement the data publication frameworks, and we don't
actually have so many of these within the VO.

The scientific users who will need to access the data and who are not
necessarily geeks.

By this I mean that joins are not an obvious thing for all researchers.
However, there's nothing to stop proposing a series of tables that
correspond to each need and that for each data model we have a view that
is extracted from the same group of tables.

Questions of unit (frequency versus wavelength versus energy) are dealt
with within the view.

Regards
Pierre
