Prov-WD: Secondary, unneeded/irritating definition of provenance

Hi,

section 2.1 "Overview and class diagram" contains the following paragraph:

"The IVOA Provenance DM is based on the the PROV-DM recommendation (…)
of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), that provides the core elements
of the model (…). In this context, the provenance of something is a
sequence of activities using and generating entities run by agents."

The second sentence here is irritating: First ("in this context…"), it
implies the question, what (IVOA) provenance is outside of the W3C
context. And second, the definition is incomplete, since aside from the
mentioned points we have

  * entities that are generated without an (explicit) activity
    (wasDerivedFrom),
  * agents related to an entity (wasAttributedTo),
  * other agent roles than "running" an activity, etc.

So, the second sentence should either be made a true definition (with
the "In this context" removed), or just removed. Since we already give a
definition in section 1, there is no need to repeat it here; therefore I
would propose to just remove it; see attached patch.

Best

Ole
