Yes, nevertheless we have no choice - as I emphasized several
times before, Peter Quinn has mandated that we *will* have a data model
by the Boston meeting. We have the choice of doing the best job
we can in the time, or risk seeing the VO proceed with no formal
data model.

I agree. On the other hand, I think we got the key players who care most
involved in the model; but I also think we'll get more response
once we propose a serialization.

I think serialization can be separated somewhat from the model,
And yes, it is closely related to the work you are doing, which
I hope to comment on soon.
