Dear all,
Within the scope of the current TimeSeries priority (see below
ada's email) we (Ada + Laurent + Mireille + myself) have been reviewing
the "TimeSeries Cube data Model" note.
As a first step we concentrated on section 4 = "Time Series Cube DM" and
let the discussion of the beginning of the paper (section 1 to 3,
including "dependent data models") for the future. The only assomption
we make is that TimeSeriesDataModel should be derived/specialized from a
Sparse Cube ( see IVOA N-dimesnional Cube Model - volute link, with the
last diagrams modified available at ....)
A very important point here is that we think we have to make a
conceptual modelisation without any a priori for the serializations or
Mappings we may use in the end. We have to understand the relationships
between the various concepts we need and follow the VO-DML rules
(as defined in the VO-DML spec / document 1) for Model design.
The product of this phase of analysis should be an UML diagram
with some text to explain it.
In the following messages we will discuss Jiri's note section 4
along these principles. They will come a little later those days.
Best regards
François Bonnarel
