Greetings, all.

I came across, on a list, this request for comments on a proposed simple image access standard.  It's been developed by cultural heritage folk, and so is primarily intended for distributing images from museums and archives, and places like that.  One can imagine it being used for (for example) APOD-like services outside the target sector.

It's broadly sensible, and though I'm going to send a note about the range of formats proposed, and suggesting they at least glance at SIAP, I don't think there's much our community need draw attention to.  If anyone thinks of anything else, however, the feedback address is in the email.
